Sinus Problems
in Dogs

A dog sinus infection is like a sinus infections in humans with similar symptoms such as runny nose, nasal discharge, sneezing, coughing and gagging. When the dog’s sinus lining is damanged by a foreign object such as a blade of grass that gets caught in the nose, the result is an injury that can trigger a sinus condition such as sinusitis or bacterial rhinitis

Signs of Sinus Infection
in Dogs

1

Nose Discharge, Sneezing, Coughing

Dog sinus infection symptoms include discharge from nose and eyes, sneezing, and coughing or gagging. On rare occasions, your dog may have nosebleeds. Some dogs may develop a fever.

2

Loss of Appetite

Other symptoms may include loss of energy and appetite. And just like in humans, sinus infections can cause headaches and sore throats for dogs.

3

Other Symptoms

Dribbling urine; Crying out while urinating; Frequently or obsessively licking the genital area.

Diagnosing the Sinus
Infection in Dogs

If you dog is showing simple cold symptoms, you might want to wait a day or two to see if they clear up on their own before seeing your vet. If the symptoms persist, however, you will need to take your dog to the doctor. If your dog has a nosebleed, take him to the vet right away, as this can be a sign of a serious problem.

During the exam, your vet will pay careful attention to your dog’s nose and eyes and to his breathing. Your vet may do x-rays to look at your dog’s sinus cavities or take a culture of the discharge.

How to Treat
Sinus Infection in Dogs

Your vet will probably prescribe antibiotics as the treatment for your dog’s sinus infection. If the vet suspects that the infection is caused by a fungus rather than bacteria, he or she will prescribe an anti-fungal medication instead. If the infection is caused by a virus, antibiotics will not help, but the infection will probably clear up on its own in a few days.

Try to keep your dog warm and dry. If it’s cold out, limit outdoor time. Try a vaporizer near his bed, to help him breathe easier. Drinking plenty of water can help, or as a special treat consider serving warm chicken broth.

Product Description

Sinusitis, or inflammation of the sinuses, is a common condition among cats and dogs.  Symptoms can be acute and serious in cases of sinus infection, or low grade and chronic when allergies are present.  When the sinuses are inflamed, the nose tends to become blocked because the sinuses cannot drain mucus properly.  Breathing becomes difficult, and sinus pressure and pain typically follow.  Pets suffering from sinus congestion and inflammation may also exhibit reduced appetite, runny nose and sneezing as well.

The underlying causes of sinus and nasal inflammation can range from infection to environmental allergies.  While antibiotics may sometimes be necessary in cases of infection, these medications do not address allergies and are generally not very effective in relieving symptoms.  Prescribed drugs often bring negative side effects, and may not always be appropriate for long-term, daily use.  For this reason, many pet owners seek out a safe, natural and effective alternative to synthetic decongestants and allergy medications.

Sinu-Help is a 100% homeopathic formula that provides gentle and holistic relief of stubborn congestion in the nose and sinuses.  Sinus-Clear also addresses symptoms like sneezing, runny nose and coughing.  Sinus-Clear can be used as needed for immediate, effective relief or on a daily basis for ongoing support.  Cats and dogs of all ages can benefit from Sinus-Clear, and the ingredients are safe to administer alongside other medications and supplements.  Like all Prana Pets formulas, Sinus-Clear relieves symptoms without side effects or dangerous health risks, even with long-term use.

My Princess has always suffered from allergies. Her sisters deal with it too, but not as bad as Princess. I decided to try Sinu-Help and I can truly say it’s made her life so much better. She can breathe freely now and isn’t sneezing throughout the day like before.

  2. :

If you’re looking for something to relieve allergy symptoms in cats or dogs, don’t think, just get it! I tried this on all of my pets (2 cats and 1 dog) and it was very effective. Love it!

  3. :

We started giving our pug T-bone Sinu-Help when he had a sinus infection and it helped clear up his symptoms right away. My girlfriend and I were very impressed. I didn’t expect it to be useful for allergies too, but we tried it for that too and T-bone finally has relief from his constant runny nose and sneezing! It’s good to have on hand if your dog deals with allergies or any kind of sinus issues.

  4. :

Since we started using Sinu-Help my dogs breathing has quieted down
