Key Performance Outcomes

Reporting to the Marketing Team Lead, this team member proactively achieves these key outcomes.

Marketing Assistant: 

  1. Manages set up, testing and scheduling of all email and SMS campaigns.

  2. Monitors and manages Amazon support cases and appeals process.

  3. Monitors, measures and drives followers and engagement across social media platforms.

 Operations:

  1. Manages key company projects on time and within budget.

  2. Stays in stock across our Amazon, Chewy, and direct to consumer distribution channels.

  3. Measures, monitors, and drives inbound and outbound shipping times.

Key Responsibilities

This team member brings knowledge, empathy, and passion to helping pet parents.

Marketing Assistant: 

  • Own email / SMS production - campaign set up (upload creative from our creative design agency, images; copy, etc.); testing; scheduling production sends; set up A/B tests; monitoring; reporting; email measurement / results; and more. Hands-on familiarity with the Klaviyo email marketing platform is ideal, but not required. We will train you in this best-in-class software.

  • Assist the Paid Media Manager with our advertising campaigns with duties such as auditing, researching, and adjusting negative keywords in our search engine marketing (SEM) campaigns.

  • Assist opening and monitoring Amazon support cases within Seller Central.

  • Assist with Amazon ASIN creation and updating current ASINs - copy, images and video.

  • Create, test, schedule and update discount codes in Shopify.

  • Create, test, and publish new blog posts in Shopify and utilize Metafields Guru for custom fields.

  • Assist Marketing Team Lead with proofing copy and creative from our design team.

  • Test all digital marketing campaigns and channels.

  • Assist Co-founder with influencer outreach, recruiting and management.

  • Social media monitoring, measurement, and engagement (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube).

  • Content creation as needed.

  • Prepare marketing reports, summarizing lessons learned, and scheduling / hosting debrief meetings.

  • Other duties as assigned.

 Operations:

  • Project manage the company roadmap with each team in the company.

  • Monitor Amazon USA and Amazon UK sales and replenish our Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) inventory while ensuring Fulfillment by Merchant (FBM) orders are processed within the service level agreement (SLA).

  • Processes and fulfills purchase orders from distribution channel partners such as Chewy and 1-800-PetMeds. Invoices these wholesale, B2B customers.

  • Measure and improve our shipping time to customers. Evolve our shipping pricing and shipping delivery offerings. Reduce logistics costs.

  • Audits, reviews, and refines standard operating procedures (SoPs) and training.

  • Willingness to tackle additional duties as company scales.

Experience 

Here are the experiences and skills you bring. 

GOOD

  • Worked in a marketing and/or project management role for 3-5+ years.

  • Strong writing skills.

  • Bachelor’s college degree.

  • Fluent, conversational English required.

BETTER

  • Your friends and family describe you as a pet lover.

  • Proven experience managing projects on time and on budget.

  • Hands-on familiarity with and working knowledge of project management tools such as Asana.

  • Hands-on familiarity with Google Sheets / Microsoft Excel.

BEST

  • Project management certification preferred, but not required.

Salary

  • USD $10 - $15 / hour and up depending on experience.
