Pets of all ages may use UTI SUPPORT, and the ingredients are safe to administer alongside other medications and supplements if necessary. Like all Prana Pets formulas, UTI relieves symptoms without side effects or dangerous health risks, even with long-term use.  For added support, C-Support may be administered daily to promote cleansing, boost immunity and protect against infection.

Pet Urinary tract infections or PET UTIs can be a source of tremendous pain and suffering for both dogs and cats. Typically the immune system protects the urinary tract from bacterial infection, however different factors such as stress, poor diet and exposure to environmental pathogens can weaken the animal’s defenses. As pathogenic bacteria enter the urethra, bladder and kidneys, the infection can take hold and lead to a range of unpleasant symptoms. Many dogs and cats then exhibit symptoms such as whimpering and crying while urinating, visible difficulty or straining while urinating, frequent urination and accidents, or bloody, discolored urine. In advanced cases, animals may also show reduced energy levels, poor appetite and fatigue.

While antibiotics may be necessary for some situations, repeated and chronic use can lead to further complications and long-term side effects. In such cases, many pet owners report reduced immunity and frequent, recurring UTIs that are difficult to resolve without continual dependence on medication. Such conventional treatments tend to destroy beneficial, protective bacteria as well as unhealthy bacteria, leaving the urinary tract vulnerable to recurring infection. Today this cycle of chronic, recurring UTIs and dependence on medication is sadly not uncommon.

Cat UTI Treatments

Like humans, cats do get urinary tract infections, also called UTIs. Bacteria enters the urine tract and reaches the bladder, causing an infection. Unlike humans, cats tend to hide their pain, which is why you need to look for the signs early to treat them. Cat UTI treatments can also help with the pain and to stop the bacterial infection.

Factors can include age and diet, abnormal pH levels in the cat’s body, or failure to clean that area properly. Even so, cats of any age and gender can develop a UTI.

Left untreated, UTIs can prove to be serious. They can bloom into kidney disease, which no one wants. In other cases, they are signs of bigger problems like injuries, bladder stones, tumors, or Feline Immunodeficiency Virus, often shortened to FIV.

Treatments For Cat Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs)

Browse our options for supplements and treatments for your cat’s UTI. Some natural herbs that cats can have include cranberries, apple cider vinegar, and bone broth.

Our UTI Treatment for Cats is a homeopathic formula that serves for pain relief with a UTI. It also does not remove any beneficial bacteria, ensuring the cat’s digestion remains intact.

You can apply directly to a cat’s mouth using a dropper, or stir into water first. For cats that aren’t keen to take medicine, this can also be mixed with their drinking water or wet food.

For immune support, take a look at the C Support Immune Booster. It is designed to reduce any inflammation or lethargy while building up liver strength.

Symptoms Of Urinary Tract Disease

A good cat owner should know the signs of potentially life-threatening urinary diseases. You have to search for the signs, sometimes even in their litter box. When cleaning it out, keep your eyes peeled for telltale red flags. The details will be in changed urine habits.

Blood in urine is the most definite one. A cat should not be bleeding from their urinary tract, and you should call the vet immediately. You can then fortify the treatment with the supplements mentioned above, to make the recovery process easier.

If a cat is peeing outside of their litter box, that may be a red flag. Whether or not it’s abnormal, it may be a sign. In other cases, it may be an indication that the box is not a good fit.

Always make sure that the box and cat litter are comfortable for the cat. If you are rescuing a kitten that was declawed, for example, they may need softer litter so as not to injure their paws.

In other considerations, if a cat is showing pain or discomfort, that is a huge sign especially if they are having trouble using the litter box. Check for fevers or lethargy as well.

When it comes to UTIs, a vet will have to diagnose that with a urine sample. Then they can make recommendations. Even so, you can treat mild and moderate symptoms before it gets that far.
